Boarding at Indus

Indus International School stands for holistic education, excellence, and personality development in students. The environment at the school motivates and inspires students to discover more about the world around them, and evolve into leaders of tomorrow, in the community and a broader global context. All this requires a high degree of self-discipline, which must be instilled at a young age. Indus has instituted a 'Code of Conduct' with clearly defined parameters. It stimulates students to assume a responsible role in the boarding community. Indus is a miniature ‘Global Village’ with students and faculty from various cultures around the world. This enables boarders to be sensitive to another’s customs and cultural values, all of which helps to foster mutual respect and self-respect among students at Indus.

The medical needs of the boarding students are attended to by a team of medical professionals comprising a full time residential doctor and qualified nursing team. Indus International School, Bangalore, has a well quipped 8 bed infirmary to manage any medical emergency that may arise on campus.

At Indus, we offer both weekday boarding and full-time boarding along with residences for house parents. There are separate boarding houses for boys and girls, with two to three students sharing a room in every hostel. The boys and girls hostels are further housed on the basis of age or grade.

Boarders can look forward to the entire range of sporting activities like basketball, football, cricket, badminton, table tennis, swimming, and athletics along with other activities like music, dance, cookery, arts & crafts. On weekends, they also get to visit amusement parks, places of historical interest, shopping malls (twice a year) or go on picnics now and then.

It is important to help students develop socially and overcome their behavioural, physical or mental health challenges. At Indus, we have full-time counsellors dedicated to ensure the wellbeing of the students in all aspects of life, be it college and career plans or personal challenges.
