PYP Sports day
Indus believes in holistic development of its students. On 16th February, PYP students put up a spectacular inaugural show and it could not have been possible without their ardent commitment towards it. It began with the Torch run by promising sports stars who brought laurels to ours school in various disciplines after which the Sports meet was declared open. The Early years demonstrated a well coordinated performance with rainbow cololoured parachutes to the tune Folow the Rainbow, which was followed by a synchronized colorful drill display by grade 1,2,3. They showcased unison of hand-leg coordination by using hula-hoops which glittered in the morning sun. Our Senior PYP students from Grade 4 and 5 students put up a impressive performance of the Cheraw Dance, popularly known as Bamboo Dance, where the boys moved bamboo staves in rhythmic beats and the girls performed by stepping in and out of the crossed and horizontally laid bamboo staves. Our budding ‘Karate kids’ demonstrated their prowess and skills gained during the regular PE classes. Apart from this, students also took part in various events such as sprints, relay, long jump, shot put and bent arm ball throw. Students also beat the heat to take part in the By participating in these events, students learn the importance of the Sportsman’s spirit, team work, cooperation and self-confidence.
