Dr. Kumar Malavalli
Kumar Malavalli is an entrepreneur, renowned philanthropist and visionary in the field of storage networks. He is the co-author and driving force behind Fibre Channel, an evolutionary technology that enabled the development of production-class Storage Area Networks (SAN’s). He is also the Co-founder and former CTO of Brocade Communications; Co-founder, Chairman and CSO of InMage Systems; and the CSO of LeadFormix. Ms. Aparna Achanta
Aparna Achanta has been with the Indus Schools for the past twelve years, before taking the mantle of Principal, Indus International School, Hyderabad (IISH) in March 2021. She strongly believes in Indus ethos and philosophy of innovation as the route to make students life-entrepreneurs. She has eighteen years of experience with the IB curriculum.
Her teaching idea is centred around the belief that the student should be the only focus in the classroom. This enables personalized learning and development of the child. While she was leading the IB Diploma Program, it had been her endeavour to build character and values in students rather than have them concentrate entirely on grades.
Her belief has been further honed by participating in leadership retreats conducted at for Bangalore teacher development. As the students step into a world where knowledge rapidly becomes obsolete, what they become due to the knowledge gained is more important than the knowledge about or knowledge to do. This fine understanding of the purpose of education is achieved only when the teacher dons the additional hat of a mentor and addresses the issue of heart and mind rather than the head only and inspires her students to become self-directed learners.
As the Head of the IB Diploma Programme with twelve years of diploma experience under her belt, she delivered the IB program in its true philosophy. Her belief stems from the fact that all students have varied intelligence foci which require to be identified and explored. The nature of knowledge and the underlying concepts of each discipline can be better taught through a transdisciplinary approach as it will help the students to develop an understanding of the big picture.
Previously, having been a research scholar in the field of biochemistry and, later, an executive with Google India Pvt Ltd, she has an enviable exposure to research and corporate life besides teaching. Additionally, she has been able to design and develop an innovative curriculum to mould the students into lifelong learners with an innovative mindset and make them future ready.
Ms. Kiran Kaza
Ms Kiran is a graduate in science, with specialization in areas of ‘Child development’, Methods of Early Childhood Education and child care. She has been associated with Pre schools for over 24 years, and was involved in teaching, administration and teacher training, and was recognized for her teaching proficiency. She played a vital role in extending support to children and parents, in imparting quality services in the field of pre- primary education. She believes that children are the future, and that their primary education plays a major role in moulding and preparing them to take on the hurdles they will face. Therefore, the principles that she has incorporated into her work, are in accordance with this belief.
