Programmes at Indus Early Learning Centre
Indus School supports experiential and transformational learning. We appreciate and encourage a childhood that is driven by curiosity and creativity. The curriculum we follow provides a holistic education that helps gain academic excellence. With a pool of trained educators working with us, supporting the child’s overall development is our priority. We go by the motto “All Children Can Learn” and we ensure that every student is given the due attention they deserve. Based on the concept of multiple intelligences, we have categorised the curriculum as below:
Parent Toddler Program (10 Months – 1.5 Years): Our Parent Toddler Program offers parents and their children (in the age-group of 10 months to 1.5 years) an opportunity to come together in a warm and homelike setting. The children along with their parents come for 2 hours, thrice a week, in an environment which has been especially set up to nurture the child’s growing independence. This structured program includes language development through puppetry, songs, poems, rhymes and role play; physical development through dance and play; cognitive development through water play, sand play, action songs and garden equipment; and sensorial development through activities related to sight, smell, touch, hear and taste.
Pre-Nursery (1-2 Years): This programme supports physical, emotional and intellectual stimulus and helps to identify the creative skills of a child. The programme also concentrates on sensorial awareness and literacy development through sand play, water play, celebrations, field trips, story time, and more.
Nursery (2-3 Years): The curriculum of the nursery programme incorporates multi-sensorial learning that is made interesting through stories, language, and expression combined with numerical learning. The creative and interdisciplinary approach forms an awareness of social, emotional, and cultural aspects.
Reception (3-4 Years): An inquiry-based and transdisciplinary curriculum of the Reception programme focuses on language development through oral, visual and written language. Logical thinking and numeracy are also part of the curriculum. The reception programme appreciates your child’s creativity through exclusive music and arts curriculum.
Grade: Prep One (4-5 Years): Under Grade One, we follow a curriculum that helps students to embrace transition and acquire skills both inside and outside the classroom. This programme emphasises on conceptual learning, communication, and thinking skills as well as the development of leadership skills.
Grade: Prep Two (5-6 Years): The prep two programme is designed to challenge and nurture a child’s multiple intelligences that would help unlock their hidden potential.
Grade 1: The primary years’ programme makes your child independent, risk-taking inquirers. Our learning engagements make concepts interesting as students are encouraged to build models themselves to gain in-depth knowledge and understanding.
