Independence Day Celebrations

Independence Day

We celebrated the Indian and Korean Independence Day with zeal and spirit befitting the occasion. Our CEO Gen. Arjun Ray and the parents graced the occasion. The Flags unfurled in the school lawns in the morning. On Independence Day, there is no better way to celebrate the freedom of the nation than celebrating the annual day of the Indus International Community School. “If you are not creative, you are an illiterate in the 21st century”, emphasised Lt. Gen. Arjun Ray, in the opening address of the function. He also announced that the year 2017 – 2018, will be the year of book reading for all the students. The IICS and IISB joint choir then set the pitch for the program with their songs. The highlight of the program, was the enactment in Hindi, dedicated to our country’s soldiers by the students of the IICS. The play urged today's generation to value the freedom we have secured after the sacrifices of many. The students then tickled our senses through their English play “Temper Temper” and inspired us with their contemporary rendition of Malala Yousafzai’s speech.
