Overview

The curriculum at Indus International School Bangalore is designed to provide holistic education and academic excellence. The curriculum motivates students to become lifelong learners and seek knowledge which is experiential and transformational in nature.

The programmes are philosophically aligned and consistent in their pedagogical approach. The curriculum is based on the concept of multiple intelligences and is broadly classified into the following categories:

  • The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) is a curriculum, a philosophy, and a methodology for young learners between Reception and Grade 5. In this program, emphasis is placed on trans-disciplinary and inquiry-based learning
  • The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) is designed for students between Grades 6 and 10. The student's intellectual and social development is the focus of this program, through inter-disciplinary learning
  • The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) curriculum is conducted by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). This programme is offered for grades 9 and 10 and culminates in an examination for IGCSE Certification, at par with any secondary school certificate
  • The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) is a 2-year course of study for Grade 11 and Grade 12. The programme fulfills the requirements of a national curriculum through disciplinary learning and increasing students' international awareness and understanding. The IB Diploma is a pre-university qualification recognized by the Association of Indian Universities and international institutions
