Boarding
Indus International School stands for holistic education, excellence, and personality development of students. The environment at the school motivates and inspires students to discover more about the world around them - and evolve into Leaders of tomorrow, both in the 'community' context and a larger, global context. All this requires a high degree of self discipline, which must be instilled at a young age. Indus has instituted a 'Code of Conduct' with clearly defined parameters, which stimulates students to assume a responsible role in the boarding community. Indus is a miniature 'Global Village' with students and faculty from various cultures around the world. This requires boarders to be sensitive to one another's customs and cultural values, all of which helps foster mutual respect and self respect among the students at Indus.
The Boarding Houses
At Indus, we offer both weekday boarding and full time boarding along with residences for house-parents. There are separate boarding houses for boys and girls, with 2 to 3 students sharing a room in every hostel. Further, the boys/girls hostels are segregated on the basis of Grades as follows:
- SB - Senior Boys Boarding House (Grades 11 & 12)
- MB - Middle Boys Boarding House (Grades 9 & 10)
- JB - Junior Boys Boarding House (Grade 4- 8)
- JG - Boarding House A – Junior and Middle Girls (Grades 4-10)
- SG - Boarding House B – Senior Girls (Grades 11 & 12)
Weekend Activities
Boarders can look forward to the entire range of sporting activities like Basketball, Football, Cricket, Badminton, Table Tennis, Swimming and Athletics along with other activities like Music, Dance, Cooking, and Arts & Craft. On weekends, boarders also get to visit Amusement park, places of historical interest, Malls (twice a year) or go on picnics every now and then.
